Chasing a total of 322, Bangladesh were 133/3. Shakib forged a 189 run partnership with Liton Das for the fourth wicket who also played a handy knock of 94. Shakib’s brilliant counter-attacking style of play floored the West Indies bowlers as Bangladesh chased the target quite comfortably with almost nine overs to spare.
The left-hander played a gritty knock of 124 and tried to play his natural game. The 31-year-old stroked the ball wonderfully with his trademark square cuts and delightful drives. Shakib ability to keep on rotating the strike which frustrated the West Indies bowlers. The All-rounder read the conditions well and was successful in finding the gaps.
