Of late, Social media has become a major problem for a few celebrities, who are having a tough time in their respective careers. The latest to be the victim of those trolls is Ambati Rayudu, who was ignored by the Indian board while replacing Shikhar Dhawan in the current setup.

Ambati Rayudu, Rishabh Pant was gutted after being left out of India’s World Cup 2019 squad on April 15. A little over 2 months later, Pant has replaced an injured Shikhar Dhawan in the team and in 2 days time might even play his first World Cup match.

The Indian team management has sought the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) approval for a replacement for Dhawan, who was expected to recover in 4 weeks but it didn’t go according to plan.

“Shikhar Dhawan has a fracture at the base of the first metacarpal of his left hand. He will remain in a cast until mid-July which rules him out of ICC World Cup. We have requested Rishab Pant as the replacement,” said Team India Manager Sunil Subramaniam.

The stylish a stylish southpaw was out of the tournament and Rishabh Pant came in as an official replacement. A section of people felt that Ambati Rayudu would get the nod but the selectors went with the youngster to fill the number 4 slot.

That is exactly what is creating a lot of buzzes as Ambati Rayudu was not picked over Rishabh Pant. Rayudu grabbed headlines when all-rounder Vijay Shankar was selected over him for the ICC World Cup 2019. It was followed by the remarks of Rayudu, who came up with a witty tweet on BCCI selectors.

Rishabh Pant is a destructive batsman in the middle-order. But, he was left out of India’s original World Cup squad as the selectors decided to go with Dinesh Karthik as the second wicketkeeper.
