Meanwhile, India will enter the tournament with a win by their side following their victory over Bangladesh in the second warm-up game at Cardiff. It was a clinical effort from both the batters and the fielders. The Men in Blues have finally settled their middle order woes with KL Rahul closing on the no four spot with a classical century. Vintage MS Dhoni was also on offer as he ran a carnage over the Bangladesh bowlers. The spinners also did an excellent job to restrict the opposition.

VVS Laxman rang no surprise in the squad as he went with Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma for the opening slot followed by skipper Virat Kohli at one drop. Following today’s effort, KL Rahul will slot at four while MS Dhoni will bat at five. Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja will be the two all-rounders to provide depth in the batting. The bowling attack will comprise two spinner and pacers each. Virat Kohli & Co will look to get off to a winning start against the Proteas to put things into perspective early on in the tournament.
