The ICC World Cup trophy driven by Nissan has begun its tour journey in Dubai. Thus, the coveted trophy is all set to begin its journey around the globe.

The next year ODI carnival is less than a year away. The prestigious tournament will run from 30 May to 14 July 2019 in England and Wales.

Meanwhile, the Cricket World Cup trophy will begin its journey from the ICC headquarters in Dubai. It will embark on its journey from 27 August, Monday. The coveted trophy will travel through five continents, 21 countries and over 60 cities. The final stop will be England and Wales, which are the hosts for the 12th edition of the World Cup.

ICC Cricket World Cup will travel all around the globe.

Thus, during the nine-month travel journey of the trophy, it will go through the ten participating countries. Furthermore, it will also travel through the emerging nations for the first time. Therefore, the trophy will also go to countries like Nepal, USA and Germany.

From the United Arab Emirates, the Trophy will travel to Oman, the USA, the West Indies, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, India, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa. Furthermore, it will also go through Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany before arriving in England and Wales on 19 February 2019 for a 100-day domestic Trophy Tour.

The prestigious trophy will also make its appearance in schools, colleges and universities to attract the higher audiences.

ICC Chief Executive, David Richardson said, “The Trophy Tour is a unique opportunity for fans around the world to be part of the ICC Cricket World Cup and by going to more countries and more cities than ever before we’re giving people more opportunities to be part of this fantastic sporting event.

The ICC is trying to make the game, more global. Therefore, it is trying to promote the game.
