Indian cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar feels KL Rahul should play ahead of KS Bharat in the World Test Championship finals against Australia in England. The Indian legend wants Rahul to play in the middle order along with Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer.

KS Bharat played four test matches as a wicketkeeper for India in this series in the absence of Rishabh Pant who met with a tragic accident last December ruling him out of cricket for an indefinite period. Sunil Gavaskar speaking to Sports Tak, wants Rahul to play as a wicketkeeper in the WTC finals which will strengthen India’s batting lineup in challenging England’s condition.

“You can see KL Rahul as a wicketkeeper. If he bats at No.5 or 6 in at the Oval (in the WTC final) then our batting will be stronger. Because he batted well in England last year. He scored a century at the Lord’s. Keep KL Rahul in mind when you pick your XI for the WTC final.”

Ks Bharat was not much impressive with the bat in the four-match series against Australia. KL Rahul performed very well in England as he scored a century in Lord’s against England. KL Rahul was dropped from India’s side for the third test in the favor of in-form Shubman Gill. India will take on Australia in the WTC final at The Oval from June 7-11.
