Team India defeated Sri Lanka in the second Test match at SSC by an innings and 53 runs to seal the three match series with a game to spare. Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara setup the match for the visitors after both batsmen registered hundreds against their name but it was the all-round show from the rock-star Ravindra Jadeja which gave, Virat Kohli his eighth consecutive series win.

4. Ajinkya Rahane survives a howler via DRS

Ajinkya Rahane was given out LBW, but he straight away went to DRS and replays clearly showed that there was a huge inside edge, as a result, he went on to score his hundred.

Dimuth Karunaratne got his maiden Test wicket, as Dinesh Chandimal challenged Umpire’s call and was successful. This call from Sri Lankan captain ended Pujara’s marathon innings.

Ajinkya Rahane went on to score his ninth Test hundred at Colombo, in the stands, his wife Radhika Dhopavkar was seen enthusiastically celebrating magical triple digit score.

The night watchman for Sri Lanka, debutant Malinda Pushpakumara batted brilliantly before he decided to invent a new shot which resulted in his downfall.
