Team India defeated Sri Lanka in the second Test match at SSC by an innings and 53 runs to seal the three match series with a game to spare. Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara setup the match for the visitors after both batsmen registered hundreds against their name but it was the all-round show from the rock-star Ravindra Jadeja which gave, Virat Kohli his eighth consecutive series win.

Indian skipper was the only batsman who did not manage to get a big score on the board, his innings came to an end with a brilliant take by Angelo Mathews in the slips of Rangana Herath.

4. Ajinkya Rahane survives a howler via DRS

Ajinkya Rahane was given out LBW, but he straight away went to DRS and replays clearly showed that there was a huge inside edge, as a result, he went on to score his hundred.

Dimuth Karunaratne got his maiden Test wicket, as Dinesh Chandimal challenged Umpire’s call and was successful. This call from Sri Lankan captain ended Pujara’s marathon innings.

6. Radhika’s enthusiastic celebration on Rahane’s hundred.

Ajinkya Rahane went on to score his ninth Test hundred at Colombo, in the stands, his wife Radhika Dhopavkar was seen enthusiastically celebrating magical triple digit score.

Rod Tucker was seen replicating Keanue Reeves at Colombo, as a hard hit straight drive from Hardik Pandya nearly took umpire with it towards the boundary.

8. Pujara’s scintillating catch at leg slip

Cheteshwar Pujara is not one of the swiftest of fielders around the world, but he surely made a mark with that catch and it is right up there with the best catches we’ve seen this year.

9 Sunil Gavaskar crosses the line while criticizing Malinda Pushpakumara.

The night watchman for Sri Lanka, debutant Malinda Pushpakumara batted brilliantly before he decided to invent a new shot which resulted in his downfall. Indian batting legend, Sunil Gavaskar however, wasn’t too pleased with the rash shot that was on display and while criticizing the Lankan batsman Gavaskar used some inappropriate words.
