However, ending all the ruckus, the flamboyant cricketer Imam-ul-Haq asked an apology for PCB.

The Pakistan Cricket Board on Thursday termed Imam-ul-Haq‘s latest controversy regarding the opening batsman as a personal issue. The Pakistan board has reportedly opted to drift themselves from the fresh scandal by refusing to issue a statement on the charges levelled against the Pakistan cricketer through a social media campaign.

However, the player himself given his apology and gets a reprimand from the board. PCB’s Wasim Khan asked the players of the team to follow the ethics of an international player and be the brand ambassador of the game for all the good reasons.
“Imam was remorseful and has apologised for what all has happened. But we have told him in clear terms. Although this is his personal and private matter, we expect our players to adhere to the highest standards of ethics and discipline,” PCB MD Wasim Khan said on Monday.

“We don’t like to comment on personal affairs of a player. But we expect that our centrally contracted players will also show more responsibility being ambassadors of Pakistan cricket and Pakistan. Hopefully, we will not see such incidents again.
It all happened when a series of texts allegedly sent by the Pakistan cricketer surfaced on social media as screenshots. The leaked conversations are believed to have happened with the Pakistani opener which has woven into a fresh controversy.
