Imran Khan Reveals he Didn’t See His Third Wife’s Face Until After The Wedding

In a bizarre revelation, the former Pakistan skipper, Imran Khan has revealed he didn’t catch a glimpse of his third wife’s face until tying the knot.

The legendary skipper had married his ‘spiritual adviser’ in Lahore in February this year. During the ceremony, Bushra Watto was wearing a heavy veil. As a result, Imran could not watch her face.

“I did not catch a glimpse of my wife’s face until after we were married,” he told the Daily Mail.

“I proposed to her without seeing her because she had never met me without her face being covered with a full veil,” added the cricketer turned politician.  “The only idea I had of what she looked like came from an old photograph I had seen in her house.”

Unlike his previous marriages, this wedding was a low-key affair, as Khan got married for the third time.

Once touted as Pakistan’s most eligible bachelor, the relatives and friends only attended Khan’s wedding to the mother of five.

Imran Khan, meanwhile, further revealed there was no shock in store for him when he finally caught a glimpse of his wife’s face.

“I was not disappointed, and now I am happily married,” he said.

Unlike his illustrious cricketing career, Khan has had a mixed ride when it comes to his married life.

His previous two marriages ended in divorce. Imran’s first marriage was with Jemima Goldsmith, daughter of a British billionaire, in 1995, which lasted nine years.

Imran has two sons from her. His second marriage with TV anchor Reham Khan in 2015 ended after a brief ten months.

Khan is one of the most beloved cricketers in Pakistan for winning the cricket-obsessed nation its only World Cup in 1992.

His sporting prowess and rugged good looks gave him the image of Playboy. He, however, has now distanced himself from that image and is eyeing to become the prime minister in elections on July 25.

One of the greatest allrounders of all time, Khan represented Pakistan in 88 Tests, and 175 ODIs. He scored over 7,500 international runs and picked up 544 wickets.
