ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Imrul Kayes named as replacement for Anamul Haque
Imrul Kayes is going to take the place of Anamul Haque subject to approval from International Cricket Council (ICC) in the current International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup 2015. On Friday Imrul is going to reach Adelaide, on the same day the Bangladesh team is going to leave Nelson to reach Adelaide ahead of their match against England.
ESPNcricinfo reports, Imrul Kayes played 4 matches for Victoria Sporting Club in the Dhaka Premier Division, where he averaged around 36, but his First-Class career has really matured later, where he achieved two tons in 6 games at an average over 64. He just played in the Khulna Division, when he had to come back to Mirpur for his flight.
Anamul was injured when he was fielding against Scotland, where he stopped a boundary. After that he instantly called for help and was rushed to the local hospital for tests. After the game the squad’s physiotherapist said that Anamul’s condition was investigated with extra care and was scrutinized with grade three joint tension. The squad is yet to determine whether to carry his remedial steps on in Nelson or Hamilton, which will host Bangladesh’s final match of the group levels on 13th March.
Anamul has not succeeded with the bat so far in the ICC World Cup, but was highly active on the field in Nelson, where he sadly picked up this injury. Bangladesh skipper Mushrafe Mortaza too pull a calf muscle during his team’s vehement win over Scotland.
