Is Virat Kohli shifting to Mumbai now? The flamboyant Indian Test skipper has reportedly bought a luxurious house in south Mumbai’s Worli area. The flat is believed to be around 7,000 square feet and will cost the Delhi lad approximately Rs 34 crore. The apartment is situated in the C-Wing of an under-construction project in Worli called Omkar 1973.
Interestingly, if Kohli buys this apartment he will have a flat with just four walls. He will have to complete all the remaining work including constructing rooms according to his own desire.
Kohli’s Arjuna Award winner teammate Yuvraj Singh already has his apartment on tower C on the 29th floor, he brought it two years ago. Last year, Virat and his girlfriend Anushka Sharma were also pictured leaving the Omkar Worli’s site office. They were apparently there to see the flats.
A source from the builder’s office said, “The project has flats on bare shell ‘Bespoke’ model, which means the flats can be designed as per the owner’s style and taste. The builder offers only a floor, with no columns in between. It’s like a playground and the owner can make anything inside. One can have any size of a bedroom to a king size hall, or a study.”
If this is the case then the owner of the flat will have to take the design to the builder who has already appointed a designer who will look after all this. “There are certain service ducts and pipes which are of importance and we cannot afford to damage them in any way.”
When asked about Kohli buying any flat, the spokesperson from the developer side said, “We do not comment on individual deals and also to our clients.”
