After a gap of six long years, cricket will finally resume in Pakistan and their fans will see them clash against Zimbabwe in 3 ODIs and 2 T20s – all scheduled to play in Lahore starting from May 22.
Zimbabwe played arrived in Pakistan on May 19 under high security involving 6,000 police and constant surveillance by commandos and helicopters. The tour is a first by a ICC Test Playing Nation since Sri Lanka came in 2009, when their team bus was attacked by RPG and machine-gun welding militants.
Seeing what transpired, it’s a bold move by Zimbabwe to tour Pakistan and the PCB must make sure that the tour passes off peacefully without any problem.
