Ind v NZ 2016: Twitter goes crazy as Virat Kohli scores his second double century! 1

Virat Kohli roared back to form in style with his second double-century in Tests. The Indian Test skipper failed to register even a half century after scoring his career’s first double century in the last series against West Indies in July but played a flawless innings in the third Tests against New Zealand at Indore to silence his critics. Before this match, he scored 44, 3, 4, 9, 18, 9, 45 in his last seven innings.

Kohli came to the crease after India were reduced to 60/2 in the first session of the first day and the matters deteriorated when they were reduced to 100 for 3. But he added an unbeaten partnership of 167 runs with Ajinkya Rahane by the end of first day to take India to a commanding position in the match. He also became the first centurion in the three-match series. It was also Kohli’s first Test century in more than three years in India. He last reached the milestone in India when he hit 107 against Australia on February 22, 2013.

He started the second day in same fashion and looked comfortable throughout the innings. He scored his double-century with the help of 18 fours.

As expected Twitterati went berserk after Kohli’s knock. Here is how they reacted:
