Virat Kohli, the Indian batting great made a graceful contribution to the Port of Spain Museum after the second Test of the series which was played in Trinidad between India and West Indies ended in a draw after rain washed out the fifth day’s play.
Kohli had an amazing series as he scored his first overseas Test century since December 2018 in this Test match after he had scored a fifty in the first Test in Dominica. His brilliant 121 only came to an end due to a runout, while he had added more than 100 runs for the sixth wicket with Ravindra Jadeja, who made 61.
An instance of his popularity and adulation was the affectionate gesture from West Indies wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva’s mother, which became a viral sensation. In the video, Da Silva’s mother can be seen hugging Kohli and getting emotional on meeting the cricketing icon which was visible in her tearful eyes.

This century was his 76th in international cricket and 29 in Test cricket. With a commendable performance throughout the Test series, Kohli amassed a total of 198 runs across two innings, at a stunning average of 98.50 which included a fifty and a hundred.
After the match, Kohli displayed his magnanimity by autographing his bats and giving it to the Port of Spain Museum, a moment that took social media by storm.

His performance will be awaited in the upcoming three-match ODI series which begins on July 27 onwards. Kensington Oval in Barbados is set to host the first two matches on July 27 and 29 respectively, while the third and final ODI will be played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on August 1.
