Umesh Yadav was made to struggle initially, thanks to Warner and Finch. The Australian openers looked relentless in their attacking approach and made life uncomfortable for the Vidarbha star.
But, despite a poor start, he did not end the match poorly. He brought in a quick turnaround and got back his wicket-taking rhythm in the second spell. Beginning with the wicket of Finch that led to the end of the 231-runs opening stand, Yadav added three more important wickets to his tally, that of – Travis Head, Steven Smith and Peter Handscomb to help India restrict Australia to a sub-350 total.
His ended with the best bowling figures of the match with 4/71 to his credit.
