The Left-handed opening batsman from Sri Lanka, Sanath Jayasuriya has been one of the most influential players on a cricket field. Jayasuriya is credited for changing the way batsmen play during field restrictions. One of the most destructive batsmen, Jayasuriya tore apart some of the most lethal bowling line-ups around the world. During the 1996 World Cup in the Jayasuriya along with Romesh Kaluwitharana caused havoc when the field restrictions were in play.
