- Matthew Hayden – 1450 runs:
Dominating the run charts is another powerful opener, Matthew Hayden. The southpaw was a monster who tore into any bowler on his day. His love for Indian bowling though, was far special, as the giant left-hander was always in his groove against the Men in Blue.
With 1450 runs in just 28 matches, Hayden averaged a superb 53.7 against India. To go with that, this all time great even had three centuries against the Indians throughout his career.
Ironically, his last ODI appearance too came against India, at his home ground of the Gabba, during the second final of the 2008 CB Series, which MS Dhoni’s India won.
