IND vs AUS 2017: Virat Kohli Could have Shared The Man of the Match Award with Kuldeep Yadav – Kuldeep’s Coach

Kuldeep Yadav has just been an absolute revelation for India ever since he burst onto the scene. The chinaman bowler has been prolific in his approach and has emerged as a genuine wicket-taker for the side. In the matter of just a few games, Kuldeep has already become his captain’s go-to bowler during the crisis, and he has stood up each time.
At Kolkata, the chinaman bowler wrecked carnage on the Australians, as he became just the third Indian bowler to take an ODI hat-trick. His accuracy and guile as a wrist spinner are what differentiates him from other bowlers, as he isn’t afraid to toss the ball up to the batsman.
According to his childhood coach Kapil Pande, his hat-trick would have been even sweeter, had he taken the wickets of Australia’s gun batsmen, David Warner and Steven Smith. Post the historic achievement of Kuldeep, Pande admitted the skipper Kohli should have shared the Man of the Match award with Kuldeep.
“It would have been an icing on the cake had these two (Smith and Warner) been the victims of his hat-trick,” said Pande.“The wicket at the Eden Gardens was new and only helping the pacers, and on this wicket the hat-trick achiever’s performance was remarkable,” he said. “Kohli is a senior member of the team, and he could have encouraged the junior players by sharing the honour,” he added.
“Initially Kuldeep’s bowling was not up to the mark. There was no proper line and length in his deliveries. I did bring this to his notice after the match when he called up and also advised him to concentrate only on proper line and length without worrying about the wickets. The wickets will come automatically,” Pande said.
