The upcoming T20I series against Australia which commences in Ranchi promises to be a thrilling affair.

Australia might have gone down without much of a fight in the ODI’s, but one can expect the Kangaroos to be a tad more aggressive in the shortest form of the game. Not to forget, India too were thrashed 1-4 in Australia in January 2016, before they went on to whitewash Australia in the three-match T20I series that followed.

The Indian selectors didn’t spring up too many surprises when they named the squad for the series. The ever-flamboyant Shikhar Dhawan was back in the scheme of things after missing the entire ODI series. Dhawan opted to skip the series in a bid to spend some quality time with his family and now that he is back, all eyes will be on the southpaw.

2017 has been a terrific year for Dhawan, as he has amassed runs at ease. The left-hander was the leading run-getter in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy in England and soon found himself in the Test squad for the tour to Sri Lanka.

There too he went on to score two rapid tons and was named the Man of the Series. Thus, given his supreme vein of form in the recent past, India would expect fireworks from the willow of Dhawan in the three games against Australia.

Dhawan was in his groove right away at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi, as he commenced his net sessions in a bid to brace up for the series. He posted a video on his Instagram account about his practice session and judging by it, as he was timing everything from the middle. Check out the video below.
