Veteran batsman Dinesh Karthik has taken a  jibe at the Australian media as they try their best to get under the skin of Indian players. The Australian media has always been seen as Australia’s 12th man and they are playing that role quite well at the moment.

While Australian players are struggling to pose any challenge to Team India, their media is doing all it can to try and unsettle Team India. Even before the ongoing four-match series had started, the media had caused quite a stir by accusing the hosts of doctoring the pitch.

During the game, few of Australia’s leading media outlets were trying to accuse Ravindra Jadeja of ball tampering when he had applied an ointment on his finger for pain.

And in the latest turn of events, they have tried to find a non-existent malicious reason behind BCCI’s decision to shift the venue for the third Test at the eleventh hour. The BCCI were forced to shift the venue from Dharamsala to Indore because the HPCA Stadium is still not fit to host international games after recent renovation works.

Dinesh Karthik trolls Australian media:

Following BCCI’s decision to change the venue, Fox Sports has pointed out that the venue change is a big blow for Australia since it suited fast-bowling. Incidentally, the one and only Test played in Dharamsala was between India and Australia in 2017 and the hosts had won that Test.

“In a series full of blows already, it’s yet another for Australia given it was the venue that was best-suited to fast bowling,” Fox Sports reported.

And they shared the news on Twitter by pointing out Ravichandran Ashwin’s record at the Holkar Stadium, Indore. Seeing the post on Twitter, Dinesh Karthik could not help but take a shot at the news outlet over their obsession with the India off-spinner.

“The admin here clearly is one hell of a worrier. Seems to play more mind games with the Australian team than the other way around #INDvsAUS #BGT2023,” Dinesh Karthik wrote while sharing the tweet.
