Shubman Gill, on Saturday (March 11), once again showed his immense capabilities with the bat as he smashed a stunning century in the ongoing fourth Test between India and Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

The youngster warmed the bench in the first two Tests as KL Rahul opened the innings alongside skipper Rohit Sharma. He got a chance in the third Test after Rahul was dropped following a string of poor performances. In the third Test, Shubman Gill could not do much with the bat as batsmen from both the teams struggled on the pitch that offered huge turn and uneven bounce right from the start.

The youngster, however, has made the most of the opportunity by scoring his first Test ton at home in the ongoing game. Thanks to his impressive knock at the top of the order, India have have replied strongly to Australia’s huge first innings total of 480 runs.
