The BCCI, on Sunday (February 19), announced Team India’s squad for the forthcoming ODI series against Australia. Both the teams are scheduled to take on each other in a three-match ODI series after the conclusion of the ongoing four-match Test series.
Left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat’s inclusion is the highlight of the recently-announced India ODI squad. Unadkat has returned to the India ODI squad after a long gap of 9 years. The fast-bowler, who led Saurashtra to Ranji Trophy title on Sunday, last played an ODI for India way back in 2013. His last ODI appearance came against West Indies.
The BCCI also announced that skipper Rohit Sharma would miss the first ODI against Australia due to family commitments. In his absence, allrounder Hardik Pandya will be leading the team.
