The entire cricket world is eagerly waiting for the much-anticipated four-match IND vs AUS Test series. The series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is scheduled to get underway next week (February 9) in Nagpur.

Australia and India are two of the best Test sides in the world at the moment and the series promises to be a cracking one. The upcoming series will be Australia’s first Test series in India since 2017. The last time they had visited India for a Test series, it had turned out to be a remarkable one.

India and Australia have played in 27 Test series since their first meeting in 1947-48. As of now, Australia have the upper hand in this rivalry. While the team from Down Under has won 12 of the 27 Tests series, India have emerged victorious in 10 of them.

India, however, have the upper hand in the series that have played in their own backyard. India have hosted Australia in 14 Test series and have won 8 of them compared to the visitors’ 4 series wins.
