ToggleVirat Kohli received unanimous praise after he scored his first Test ton after 1205 days in the ongoing fourth Test against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad was one of those lauding him.
Kohli, who had last scored a fifty in Tests in January 2022 and a century in Tests in November 2019, ended the long drought by scoring his 28th Test century and 75th international century on day four of the ongoing encounter.
He played risk-free cricket on day four, not hitting a boundary for 160-odd balls in the first session of the day, and then reached the milestone and celebrated by kissing his wedding ring and raising the bat to acknowledge the crowd and his teammates.

Venkatesh Prasad took to Twitter and lauded Virat Kohli for his century and called it a special inning from a special player.
“Special innings from a special player , great temperament on display from Virat. Apart from his extraordinary hunger and intensity, Virat’s comeback to form has been an excellent inspiration for to learn how faith in the higher forces can help in challenging times. Proud,” Prasad tweeted.

Virat Kohli Registers His Highest Test Score Against Australia At Home And Overall As Well
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, on Sunday, March 12, registered his highest Test score against Australia at home. Back in February 2013, the right-handed batter scored 107 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
This score came 10 years before and Kohli surpassed it in one of his best knocks thus far. This was also his second Test hundred against Australia at home after the one in Chennai.

Not only, this, but as he went past the 170-run mark, Kohli also registered his highest Test score against Australia anywhere, going past the 169 he scored in the Melbourne Test on the 2014-15 tour of Australia, which was also his first Test as India captain in the format.
