Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt takes a dig at Indian head coach Rahul Dravid over his comments to try out different combinations ahead of the third and final ODI series against Australia and also insisted India should concentrate more on winning the series.

The 38-year-old former cricketer, speaking on his youtube channel criticized Rahul Dravid for his pre-match press conference where he stressed trying out different combinations and also added that the Indian team should improve their batting rather than changing the combinations.

“Rahul Dravid said that they will keep trying different combinations. First, win the series! Changing combinations is irrelevant. We’ve to see how you solve your batting concerns first. All this talk about team combinations… is where the confusion starts. How much do you want to change?”  Salman Butt said.

Salman Butt further continued the conversations around the Indian team should be to win the series against Australia and also added the talk around the combinations should not be given priority.

“At this moment, all the conversations should be around the third ODI and how to win it. If someone asks a different question, you can say that it has got nothing to do with the match. He has talked a lot about combinations, this shouldn’t be so frequent,” Butt further said.

India will take on Australia in the third and final ODI of the three-match series on Wednesday in Chennai. India currently levelled the series 1-1 with Australia and India will look to win the series and maintain their domination in home conditions as India hasn’t lost an ODI series in the last 4 years on home soil.
