Sanjay Manjrekar, who is part of the Broadcasting unit of Star Sports was happy with the management’s call to include Gill in the playing 11.

“I was thinking whether the management will show courage and do the right thing with KL Rahul, who is a big-name player and has played some important innings in the past. I think everyone supports the decision, so well done,” Manjrekar.

Coming into the contest, Australia was in a comfortable position at the time of writing, Australia is 109-2, with Usman Khawaja scoring a brilliant half-century. Australia will look to take a big lead in the 1st innings as it will be difficult to bat on this pitch in the 2nd innings.
