Australia cricket legend Allan Border lauded Team India for being the powerhouse of International cricket. Indian cricket has been on the rise due to the emergence of talents around the country–and the side is the world No.1 in white-ball cricket.
Speaking to India Today, at the end of Day 1, Allan Border admitted India has the upper hand over Australia and added that it will interesting to see the World Test Championship final being played at a neutral venue.
“Oh, most definitely. India does have the upper hand at the moment. They will get a chance, won’t they in England at the Oval when these two teams play in the World Test Championship final game at The Oval. So, it will be thrilling in itself to watch them go at it in a neutral country.”
Border reckoned that rivalry between India and Australia is slowly building up and recalled the memories of Australia being dominant in the 90s over India. India had historical series win over Australia in the last Border-Gavaskar series in Australia.
Border added that India from being a small cricketing nation to a global powerhouse in the cricket field and also financially cricket India has come a long way to achieve this.
“I mean from short and fairly humble beginnings with their cricket team to just a world power and probably the world power financially, and with the cricket team put together, absolutely fantastic,” said Border.
The Australia legend also added that he is looking forward to the world test championship final as India has done very well recently away from home. The World Test Championship final will be held in England. India and Australia are likely to face in the finals.

Allan Border Remembering Australian Bowling legend Shane Warne said that he has the same calibre as Don Bradman and added Shane Warne is the greatest bowler ever to play for Australia.

Shane Warne has played for Australia for over 15 years, picking up over 1000 wickets in International cricket, and has been an important player for Australia in many historical wins. Warne is widely considered one of the greatest bowlers in cricket history.
