Former Indian veteran wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel feels the Australian skipper Steve Smith exploited the flaw in DRS to his team’s advantage. Steve Smith and his team were appealing for stumping attempts and got two important dismissals without going for the team’s DRS.
Australian Team was seen appealing to most of the Stumpings, according to rule the ball is checked for outside edge as well before checking whether the batsman is out of the crease Steve Smith used this rule to his team’s advantage whenever there is an opportunity and they wouldn’t lose a review on potential caught-behind dismissals. Speaking to Cricbuzz Parthiv Patel said.
“Steve Smith is aware of that and he exploited the loophole. The on-field umpire should avoid going to the third umpire if he is sure that it’s not out when there is an appeal for a stumping”, Parthiv Said.

According to Parthiv Patel, the third umpire should only review the stumping, if the bowling team appeal for a stumping and the potential caught behind should not be checked unless the captain opts for a review.
“The ideal solution is that the TV umpire should only review the stumping if the appeal is made only for a stumping. A caught behind should not be checked unless the fielding captain opts for a review.”
Coming into the match, Australia bowled out India for 163 runs in the 2nd innings of the third test in Indore, veteran spinner Nathan Lyon claimed an eight-wicket haul for Australia. Australia needs 76 runs to secure their first win in this series.
Umesh Yadav Is The Best Bowler In Indian Conditions – Parthiv Patel
Former RCB wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel praised Umesh Yadav for his terrific bowling against Australia in the 1st innings. In the match which is dominated by the spinners, Umesh bowled a fantastic spell to pick three wickets to clean up Australia for 197 runs.

Parthiv said that Umesh Yadav is the best Fast bowler to bowl in Indian conditions and added that he master in the reverse swing as he got good line and length.
“Umesh Yadav is the best bowler to bowl in Indian conditions. He also completed 100 wickets in India, so we have to praise him. He bowls reverse swing well and bowls stump to stump. In terms of accuracy, he knows the length. Even if it is a low bounce wicket, he knows the top of the off length, the one that bowling coaches tell you. If you want to see a masterclass in reverse swing, then that was shown by Umesh Yadav today,” Parthiv Patel said.
Umesh Yadav is often sidelined due to the presence of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami but has been a phenomenal performer for India in red-ball cricket. Umesh Yadav has completed 100 wickets for India on home soil.
