Australia had a poor outing in the 2nd innings of the second test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Australia ended Day 2 with a lead of 63 runs, coming on to bat on Day 3 Australian batsman found no clue to the Indian Bowling. Ravindra Jadeja registered a seven-wicket haul while Ravichandran Ashwin took three as the hosts bundled out Australia for 113 runs.

Many experts criticized Australia batting in the second innings and none of Australia’s batsmen could play India’s spin bowling and fell very cheaply. Matthew Hayden who is part of Star Sports for the Border Gavaskar Trophy expressed his disappointment over Australia’s batting.

“These are world-class players, and they’ve got everything to win and everything to lose in this session, They did it so well last evening in those few overs,” Hayden said in a commentary.

“This will, most certainly, I think, be the close of his IPL career. So, those few games at the start are not only going to be key for the fans, his performance is going to be key for CSK this season,” said Hayden.

Hayden said that this season will probably be the last season for MS Dhoni in CSK colours as a player. The former India captain is 41 and may call it the end at the end of this IPL season.
