Rohit Sharma was not a happy man after facing the first ball of the second ODI between India and Australia being played at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on March 19, 2023.
Australia, who are looking to level the series after a loss in the first ODI which was played in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, won the toss and chose to bowl first. They made two changes as Alex Carey came in for Josh Inglis and Nathan Ellis replaced Glenn Maxwell in the XI after the all-rounder pulled up sore.
For India, two changes were also on the cards, as Axar Patel came in for Shardul Thakur and Ishan Kishan made way for captain Rohit Sharma, who was coming back into the team after missing the first ODI in Mumbai for personal reasons.
For the first time since a 2010 ODI against Sri Lanka, India was playing three left-arm spinners in their XI.
Rohit Sharma Unhappy With The Spider Cam; Shows Anger After Facing First Ball By Mitchell Starc
Rohit Sharma was taking the strike after replacing Ishan Kishan in the playing XI and opening the innings with Shubman Gill. Mitchell Starc was gearing up to bowl and much was expected from him after his tremendous burst of spell in the first ODI which left India reeling in the first ODI.
He bowled the first delivery wide outside the off-stump which Rohit Sharma let go and the umpire called it a wide. However, after facing the ball, Rohit Sharma was seen unhappy, probably by the Spidercam’s movement and he was seen gesturing to Gill about the same and also mouthed some words as well.

Meanwhile, India was once again jolted by Mitchell Starc as at the time of writing this piece, the Men in Blue had lost three wickets for 32 runs with Shubman Gill falling for a two-ball duck and Suryakumar Yadav falling for a golden duck, his second in a row. Rohit Sharma made 15 runs and was caught by off Starc as well.
