Former Indian cricketer Saba Karim hailed Rinku Singh for his impressive transition to International cricket from domestic cricket. The 25-year-old made it into the Indian team following his brilliant for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2023 and for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket.

Rinku Singh was one of the breakout stars of IPL 2023 playing the role of finisher for Kolkata Knight Riders.  The UP batter has been churning out a lot of runs in the domestic circuit. He thrives under the pressure of getting the job done for his side and made an impressive debut for India in the three-match Ireland series.

During a discussion at Jiocinema, Saba Karim lauded Rinku Singh for his brilliant debut for India in International cricket and praised him for his terrific composure in the game, as he adapted to the overseas conditions in his first Indian tour.

“Rinku Singh’s transition from a domestic cricketer to an international cricketer – that for me is the find of this tour. Lots of positives here. Top of my mind it has to be Rinku Singh – the way he has been able to understand the conditions and the demands of the international game,” Saba Karim said

The 25-year-old was the Player of the Match display against Ireland during the second T20I, as he showed excellent temperament to finish things for India. The left-handed youngster will look to grab the opportunity to make a name for himself in International cricket.

Good To See That He Did Not Need To Change His Game Plan At All – Saba Karim

Saba Karim praised Rinku Singh for his calm and composed innings against Ireland, as he took time in the middle before taking on the bowlers in the final overs of the game, and lauded him for his game plan in International cricket.

“The way he was able to play such a stable innings, that is the way that he has played not only in IPL but also in domestic matches. Good to see that he did not need to change his game plan at all. Good to see not to see him flustered. And that is a huge positive for me,” Saba Karim concluded

India will be looking to groom the young Rinku Singh as the finisher of the Indian team going into the 2024 T20 World Cup next year as he has the potential to do well for the team in the shorter format of the game.
