The left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan was more similar to his opening partner Rohit Sharma with the bat after scoring 80 in his first match of the recently concluded series against the Kiwis.
With an early advantage and his ability to frighten the bowlers with the wide range of shots, he has relied on, for so long, Dhawan couldn’t repeat what he did in Delhi which saw him scoring six at Green Field after being dismissed on just one in Rajkot.
