The fast bowler had an impressive outing in the domestic circuit. In the Super Smash 2019-20, he proved to be beneficial death-over bowler for Wellington. He picked three wickets including the wicket of Auckland’s set batsman, Martin Guptill, to led Wellington to win the finale.

Seeing his impressive performance in the domestic circuit, he has earned the maiden T20I call for the Blackcaps against India. The 32-year-old has only played 16 ODIs and only One Tests during his international career.

Bennett last played against Indian in 2014 when he proved to be a danger for Virat Kohli but unfortunately, his career was further hampered because of injury.

Now luckily, he has again earned the call-up from the national side. The Indian skipper needs to be careful from the strapping pace bowler.
