Ind vs NZ Second Test, Day 3: Twitterati reacts to a topsy-turvy day 1

The third day of the second Test match between India and New Zealand was probably the most exciting day of the series so far.

Starting the day on 128 for 7, a 47-run knock from Jeetan Patel helped the Kiwis to cross the 200-run mark. However, they could not score big any were dismissed on 204. Indian pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami were the destructors-in-chief and shared eight New Zealand wickets between them.

With a lead of 112 runs, the match was looking well tilted in India’s favour but a brilliant comeback from the New Zealand bowlers saw the visitors clawing their way back into the match. Matt Henry and Trent Boult wreaked havoc on the Indian team as they hosts were reduced to 106 for 6. But a 103-run partnership between Rohit Sharma and Wriddhiman Saha helped India to take command of the match once again. India finished the day on 227 for 8 with their overall lead extended to 339.
