In yet another remarkable win over Sri Lanka as a unit in the Tests, India has thoroughly dominated the toothless Lions owing to the spectacular all round performances at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium in Nagpur.

It has eventually become more of a norm for the formidable India to thrash the hapless opponent in the five-day format, of late.

India has dominated the Islanders in all three departments of the game which further saw the hosts routed Lankans inside three and a half days after bundling out for 166 in 49.3 overs. The hosts mauled Lions soon after the lunch by an innings and 239 runs, as India equalled the record of their biggest victory margin. Interestingly, in 2007, India identically won the Test fixture at Mirpur against Bangladesh under the leadership of the then skipper Rahul Dravid.

After decimating performance, India is now leading the three-match series 1-0 with one to go at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi which would kick off on December 2 (Saturday).

With the lacklustre, Sri Lanka got hammered, as the visitors struggled against the world-ranked number one Test team India followed the spectacular all-round performance.

As the surface favoured the batsmen after being traditionally assisting the spinners, Indian bowlers made it a worst case for the Lions, who had no clue whatsoever against the spin bowling ploy.

So much so, Sri Lanka lost 20 wickets in overall 128.4 overs, as Indian bowling piled up the miseries for the Dinesh Chandimal-led side.
