Continuing their dream run at home, team India posted another win, defeating the Dinesh Chandimal-led Sri Lanka by a margin of an innings and 239 runs on the fourth day of the second Test in Nagpur.

Though they delayed India’s win by a session, hosts’ needed two more wickets post the lunch break. The first session got extended by 15 minutes, but Lankan batsmen assured they push Indian fielders to come back on the field.

It was Ravindra Jadeja who scalped the first wicket of the day when Murali Vijay caught Dimuth Karunaratne on team’s score of 34. From there, Indian bowlers joined the party, and in next 20.1 overs, the visitors lost six more wickets.
In the extended session though, Sri Lankan batsmen survived wicketless 15 minutes by hitting ball upwards towards the boundary at areas where there were no fielders. Dinesh Chandimal was the prominent gainer from this hitting, as he scored his 14th half-century. Twitter was in all praise of the Indian team for this win.
