West Indies fast-bowling legend Curtly Ambrose admires Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli’s batting style as he describes his gameplay as a “Pleasant to Watch” ahead of the 2nd ODI against West Indies in Barbados. The 34-year-old has led the team from the front in batting over the last decade or so producing some winning performances for the Indian team.

Virat Kohli is a brilliant batter across the three formats of the game, his domination in Cricket has been of a different level altogether, as he impressed everyone with his consistency to perform in all three formats of the game against high-quality opponents in International cricket.

Speaking to “Khul Ke” on YouTube, Curtly Ambrose hailed Virat Kohli’s batting style as he scored runs without being aggressive in the middle overs and reckons that he has got the ability to score quick runs just like six hitters and said that it is great to watch him play the game.

“Very pleasant to watch, easy on the eyes, can score quickly, without getting aggressive. He is not like a six-hitter per se. Not that he can’t do it, he can score as quickly as guys you call six-hitters. But wonderful player as well. He is great to watch,” Curtly Ambrose said.

Despite not batting in the 1st ODI, Virat Kohli has entered the record books following his sensational catch in the slips to achieve this feat in 50-over cricket. The 34-year-old currently occupies the fourth spot in the most catches list alongside legendary New Zealand skipper Ross Taylor in the ODI Cricket.

I’m Not The Kind Of Guy Who Would Like To Compare – Curtly Ambrose

Earlier speaking on Revsportz, Curtly Ambrose said that he doesn’t want to compare the two stalwarts of Indian cricket as the master blaster has achieved everything in cricket and reckons that he is not someone who likes to two compare two individuals, who have got different skillset.

“I wouldn’t want to compare both players, Sachin Tendulkar was a great player and achieved just about everything in cricket. You can’t take away from his cricketing knowledge and the way he played. I’m not the kind of guy who would like to compare,” Curtly Ambrose added.

Virat Kohli is fit and raring to go in for a few more years in International cricket, as he found his usual best starting at the 2022 Asia Cup in Dubai and would be a key player for the Indian team going into the all-important Asia Cup 2023 and ODI World Cup 2023.
