Young Indian finisher Rinku Singh wants to score runs whenever he was provided an opportunity in International Cricket and stay grounded despite his heroics in the cash-rich league. The 25-year-old is expected to be part of the India T20 plans for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
The southpaw is named on the Indian side for the Ireland tour and Asian Games 2023, where he is likely to make his debut for India at the highest level. The Left-handed youngster’s life had a drastic change after the five sixes against Yash Dayal as a lot of people recognize him after that game.
Commenting on his selection to the Indian team, Rinku Singh wants to keep scoring runs for the team if provided an opportunity and said that he wants to keep things simple and play normal cricket for the team at the highest level.

“My job is to score runs. If I get an opportunity, I would try to do well, Life has changed a lot as people now recognize me. I never believe in hyping things up. I want to keep things normal and play normal cricket,” Rinku Singh said.
The left-handed finisher was a consistent performer for his side performing in every match to score vital runs in the backend of the innings. He provided his side the much-needed momentum in the final overs and complete the chase for his team against the formidable bowling attacks in domestic and IPL.

Rinku Singh can play as the finisher in the team as he scored 474 runs in 14 matches at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52, with four half-centuries most importantly finishing the games for his side in the impossible situations. The youngster is expected to finish games for the side in the continental even in China.
With India failing to win a single ICC trophy over the last decade or so, as they failed to cross the knockout stages to win the elusive trophy, many believe that it is the right time to bring new faces into the team, who can take the baton forward for the Indian team and Rinku Singh is one of the names, who can make it big into the Indian team. The youngster is expected to play a vital role for the Indian team in the forthcoming T20 series.
