Indian team management raised their concerns regarding travelling at late night on the West Indies tour as the flight was delayed from Trinidad to Barbados after the completion of the second test match, which had no result due to the rain. The Indian team had four hours delay on the flight to Barbados, as the flight took off late on the night.

The Indian team management has requested better travel for their next destination on Caribbean soil as they have requested to travel in day time rather than night to have better recovery in the team and India will play a three-match ODI series followed by five-match T20 series in the country.

According to reports after the completion of 2nd test, the Indian team had a long waiting time at the airport on their travel to Barbados, as the team wanted to travel in the morning than night time as most of the players want better recovery post-game and it is learned that BCCI is working on the travelling schedule for the betterment of the player.

“They had left the hotel by 8:40 pm for the airport and had to wait for a long time at the airport. The team management has requested us to book a morning flight instead of late-night flights as players want some rest post-game. The BCCI has agreed to it and is planning to revise the next schedule,” A BCCI source said Indian Express.

The Indian team will be playing their first two one-day Internationals in Barbados on July 27 and 29 followed by the third ODI in Trinidad and the Indian white-ball players Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav, Umran Malik, and Yuzvendra Chahal has already reached Barbados to prepare for the ODI series in West Indies.

India will play a five-match T20 series in West Indies after the completion of the ODI series in India. They will look to bring some fearless in the team under the leadership of Hardik Pandya to groom them for the 2024 T20 World Cup. The youngster would look to make use of the opportunities coming on their way to make it big on the International stage.
