Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja revealed that Indian team management is clear about their plans going forward into the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup 2023. The Men in Blue’s plans and strategies came under the scanner following their six-wicket loss to the Windies on Saturday.
In the 2nd game against West Indies, India played Sanju Samson at No.3 followed by Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav in the 2nd game as none of the batters applied themselves on the slow surface at Barbados and it looked like most of the batters batted out of their position in the team, as could not find the rhythm at any part of their innings.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game against West Indies, Ravindra Jadeja said that India’s think-tank is ready with their plans going and reckons that the team is trying out a few players at different positions to get the best out of them and feels that the loss in 2nd ODI is not due to experimentation as conditions were difficult in Barbados.

“Overall, the management and captain are aware of what combination to play and what team we can play going ahead. There is no question of confusion. It is just about things like trying a batter at a particular number. This is what the management, captain, and coach are trying.
“It is not that we lost because we experimented. Sometimes, the condition of the wicket is different in the first half and the second. That can also affect the result. There is no question of doubt being created due to one match,” Ravindra Jadeja said.
It will be interesting to see which team comes up at the top at the final ODI to win the series as this series win would be a good morale boost for India going into the Asia Cup 2023.
It’s A Good Thing That We Will Get The Idea About What Is Team’s Balance… – Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja feels that it is a chance for the management to try out a few experiments just before the marquee event and asserts that the team cannot try new things on the big events and reckons that this kind of game gives their team an idea about their playing combinations.

“This is the series before Asia Cup and World Cup, where we can experiment, we can try out new combinations. Once we will go to play Asia Cup and World Cup, we won’t be able to experiment with anything. It’s a good thing that we will get the idea about what is team’s balance, strengths and weaknesses,” Ravindra Jadeja added.
Team India has been blown hot and cold in all three formats failing to produce an impactful performance in the ICC events as their last trophy came in the 2013 Champions Trophy and they will be highly motivated to put on a show in the ODI World Cup later this year.
