India A, New Zealand A To Play A Pink Ball Test In Vijayawada 1

The second unofficial Test match between India A and New Zealand A will be a pink ball affair. The decision has been taken a couple of days ahead of the game, in consultation with New Zealand Cricket Board.

Mutual consent has decided as both the teams are keen to prepare for any pink ball Test in future. At present, many of the players in the India A side have played with the pink ball as they were a member of various teams in Duleep Trophy.

As of now, Indian team is not scheduled to play any pink ball Test in nearby future whereas New Zealand is set to host England in their second day-night Test. They had their first taste of Pink ball Tes against Australia in 2015, which was first ever pink ball Test in the history of cricket.

This will be a second time when India A will play a pink ball unofficial Test as last year, on India A tour of Australia; the second unofficial Test was played with the pink ball.

India A is currently leading the two-match series by a margin of 1-0 as the hosts defeated visitors by a margin of an innings and 31 runs. The Karun Nair led team is again going as favourites in the contest, and the success of the team will again depend on spin duo of Shahbaz Nadeem and Karn Sharma.

The second Test will start on September 30 in Vijayawada. It will though be played in the daytime only.
