The India A tour to South Africa will go as per the plan, despite Australia A pulling out of the tour due to pay issues with their Cricket Board. It has been learned that BCCI was looking to delay the series, due to the current scenario but Rahul Dravid, the coach of India A insisted on the tour to go as per plan,
“Given the situation in Australia, we were considering postponing the SA tour, but Dravid insisted that we shouldn’t let our team suffer for what happened there. Cricket South Africa (CSA) is keen to host us too, so the tour will go ahead,“ a BCCI official told TOI.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) is now looking to either replace Australia A for the tri-series or will either scrap it and the two teams will participate in a bilateral series of five One-day games. It would have been a waste of opportunity for the members of List A side but Rahul Dravid ensured that the efforts put in by the boys to earn this call-up pay them fruits and India A will travel to South Africa, though there will be a change in schedule or one of the teams participating in the tournament.
