There has been a disappointing performance by the English team in the World Cup and they were knocked out of the tournament by Bangladesh when they were defeated by Bangladesh by a margin of 11 runs.
Despite of England’s exit from the World Cup, British Prime Minister, David Cameron has not lost his interest in this on going World Cup and he is a regular follower of it.
He said that he has seen the England team performing extremely well in the recent years and the most memorable one was the one when England played India at the Oval few years back when India toured to England. Cameron said that it is a tough time for the England team and he is hopeful that the team will come back strongly in the near future.
Cameron also said that it is not their time this year and he has full faith in his team despite the team’s disastrous performance at the World Cup. England stood as the fifth team in the Pool A and New Zealand, Australia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh qualified for the quarter final spot from the group.
Also, Cameron appreciated India’s performances in the World Cup and he even admitted of the fact that India are indeed playing like World Champions at the moment. He said that he can recognize strong and champion teams and India are playing like one. He believes that India has strong chances in winning the World Cup this year.
He also said that the Indian team has played pretty consistently unlike the English team. And they deserve to be the winners of the tournament.
As a matter of fact, India won six of their group stage matches in Pool B and has qualified for the quarter final spot as group champions where they will be playing Bangladesh at the MCG on Thursday
