India bowling coach Bharat Arun praises pacer Mohammad Shami
On Wednesday India’s bowling coach Bharat Arun said, India’s pace spearhead Mohammad Shami, who has claimed 15 wickets in just five World Cup matches, has a bright career ahead of him that portend well for Indian cricket. Bharat Arun said that Shami has been quite impressive. Mohammad Shami is one of the bowlers with the best release of the ball from the hand.
Arun said ahead of India’s quarter-final against Bangladesh that the ball’s seam position at the time of delivery and landing is really mesmerizing. He can look forward to a bright career, which portends well for Indian cricket. The bowling coach added that he can bowl at 140 plus continuously with the identical kind of seam position, which is a great skill.
Referring to Richard Hadlee, New Zealand bowling legend praised Mohammad Shami, the bowling coach said what more can a bowler ask after such statements from a bowling legend. Arun said to BCCI.tv that the great legend Richard Hadlee, has been impressed by Mohammad Shami’s talent and tagged him as someone who will play wonders for India in the near future. He was quoted saying: “When you have those words coming from a bowling great, what else do you need as a bowler?”
Mohammad Shami has retained an overall economy rate of 4.38 and a remarkable strike rate of 12.6 in the International Cricket Council World Cup till now. With India’s bowling unit striking good shape lately, the future of Indian bowling looks very bright.
He further added that this is an exciting pace battery that can bowl at 140 plus, India has never had a group of three to four pace bowlers who can bowl at 140 plus steadily. It augurs extremely well for the country. He also added that the best part about this bowling attack is that they learn from each other and have a blooming respect for each other. He concluded saying that Bhuvneshwar Kumar is skilled and keeps talking to most of the bowlers about bowling in certain circumstances.
