India’s tour of England in 2019 was a two-month-long affair that lasted from August to September. The two teams were due to play a five-match Test series, wherein the hosts prevailed, beating India emphatically by a margin of 4-1.
Joe Root’s men ousted India in the first Test, eventually winning by 31 runs, at Birmingham. In the second Test, Virat Kohli and company suffered a huge loss by an innings and 159 runs, at the Mecca of cricket, the Lords.
The Men in Blue responded in the third game as they hammered the hosts by a margin of 203 to try and come back in the series, instead, they fell to consecutive defeats in the following matches and surrendered the series to England.
