India have been provided favourable pitches in ICC World Cup 2015, claims Sarfraz Nawaz
Sarfraz Nawaz, former Pakistan pace spearhead has accused the International Cricket Council (ICC) of favoring the defending World Cup champion Indian team in the ongoing International Cricket Council Cricket World Cup 2015 by giving the defending champions wickets tailor made to suit their powers and skills. The outspoken and often controversial pacer said that the games played till now in this tournament that where India has played the wickets have been prepared to suit their powers and skills.
Nawaz who played 55 Test matches and 45 One Day Internationals said on a TV channel show that Pakistan was being made to play on wickets which were difficult for them. He further said pointing at today’s match the pitch had lots of bounce and was double paced which went against Pakistani strengths. He would ask the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to take up this matter with the International Cricket Council and find out what is going on.
Nawaz said that Pakistan should submit a protest with the International Cricket Council as one could watch that the sport’s world governing body favored India. Saeed Ajmal, former off-spinner who was on the identical panel on the channel. He rejected to give statement on the matter only pointing out that it was good that Pakistan won against Zimbabwe even on a tough surface.
Sarfraz Nawaz concluded saying that it was strange that wickets in the ICC World Cup either were fully suited batsmen or were helping the bowlers. He said that this same Indian team had grappled in Australia in the preceding Test and One Day International tri-series.
