This year’s Legends League Cricket will kickstart with the much-anticipated India Maharajas vs World Giants match. The special match will mark the beginning of the second season of the Legends League Cricket. The game will be played to honour India’s 75th Independence Day, as part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign.
Earlier reports emerged that the government had asked the BCCI to arrange a match between India and Rest of the World as a part of the Independence Day celebration. Reports had also stated that the match might take place on August 22. The match, however, did not materialise. The special match between India Maharajas and World Giants will now be played instead of the India vs Rest of the World match.
