Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi has switched his state team as he looks to prove himself in domestic circuit and win his place back in the Indian team. The highly-rated spinner lost his place in the Indian team last year and has not earned a recall since then.
He was dropped from the Indian team after last year’s Asia Cup. Since then, the team-management has relied on Yuzvendra Chahal as the sole leg-spinner in the team. Last week, he failed to find a spot in the India ODI squad for the upcoming series against West Indies. He is also unlikely to be named in the T20I squad for the series in the Caribbean.

So far, Bishnoi has played 10 T20Is and 1 ODI for Team India. In those 11 international games, he has picked up 17 wickets. In T20Is, he has performed decently, picking up 16 wickets while conceding only 7 runs per over. The out-of-favour spinner will be desperate to win his place back as soon as possible.
Ravi Bishnoi moves to Gujarat:
Ahead of the new domestic season, Ravi Bishnoi has left Rajasthan to join Gujarat. The leg-spinner himself took to Instagram to confirm the news. Posting a selfie while wearing the Gujarat jersey, Bishnoi wrote: “New beginning.”

Bishnoi will be hoping that he gets ample chance in the Gujarat team to prove himself and force his way back into the Indian team. Talking about his time with Rajasthan, he made his debut for them in 2019 in white-ball format. And it took him three more years to make his first-class debut for Rajasthan.
Overall, Bishnoi represented Rajasthan in 1 first-class, 25 List A and 87 T20 games. On his first-class debut, he managed to take 2 wickets while in List A and T20 games, he has picked up 36 and 101 wickets respectively so far.
