Team India will be touring Zimbabwe next month for a short limited-overs series. Both the teams will be locking horns in international cricket after a long gap of 6 years.
They last played a bilateral series against each other in 2016 when India had visited Zimbabwe for three One-day Internationals and as many T20 Internationals.
India had won both the series on that tour. The Men in Blue had swept the ODI series while the T20I series ended 2-1 in favour of the visitors. The tourists will be favourites to win the upcoming series too.

The upcoming India tour of Zimbabwe 2022 will be sandwiched between India tour of West Indies 2022 and the Asia Cup 2022. After the ongoing tour of England ends, India will fly to the Caribbean for three ODIs and five T20Is against West Indies.
The tour of West Indies will end on August 7. Later in August, the Asia Cup is scheduled to be held from August 27. Between these two assignments, Team India will travel to Zimbabwe for a short series.

India tour of Zimbabwe 2022 will see both the teams play out a three-match ODI series. The series will take place from August 18 to August 22. All the three games will take place in Harare.

As per media reports, even head coach Rahul Dravid won’t accompany the team to Zimbabwe. In his place, VVS Laxman will be the coach for the team.
“Team B will travel to Zimbabwe for the series and VVS Laxman will be the coach of the team,” the BCCI official was quoted as saying by ANI.
In that case, those players who are unlikely to be a part of the Asia Cup are set to tour Zimbabwe. Several fringe players are set to be named in the squad.
