Legendary Shane Warne has come in support of the 22-year-old left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, after he claimed four wickets with a remarkable bowling performance on his Test debut during the ongoing fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia.
The 47-year-old former Australian cricketer Warne took to microblogging webste Twitter to praise Kuldeep for his impressive performance on Day one of the series decider at Dharamsala.
“Long live the wrist spinners, Kuldeep was very impressive,” Warne tweeted after witnessing the probing spell of Kanpur-born Kuldeep.
The former leggie stated he would love to extend his full support to the youngsters across the globe.
“Always happy to help out any young spinner from any country,” his tweet added.
Earlier, the left-arm spinner Kuldeep credited Warne for success, as the former was taught a flipper by Warne on which he got his maiden Test wicket in the name of David Warner, before stating it wasn’t a ‘chinaman’.
“Learning the flipper from Shane Warne and then getting his countrymen out is a nice feeling,” Kuldeep stated in the presser.
Kuldeep idolized Warne in his childhood, after he switched from the fast bowling to a slow bowler on the insistence of his academy coach Kapil Pandey to change the genre.
As, it was a dream come true for such a youngster to meet the veteran bowler whom he always admired while taking a leaf out of his book.
Warnie tweeted:
