India v Bangladesh, One-Off Test: 5 Players To Watch Out For 1
Mehedi Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh reacts after picking up a six-wicket haul against England.

Mehedi Hasan:

The young off-spinner created ripples in his debut series against England last year. Aged just 19 when handed the national cap, Mehedi quickly polarised the English batting order with a six-wicket haul on debut at Chittagong in the opening Test and icing it with another six-wicket haul before converting it to a 10-wicket haul at Dhaka in the second Test.

Although England was able to level the series, Mehedi left a lasting impression on the minds of cricket fans at home. The following tour to New Zealand was not as productive as the home series, owing to the unsupportive pitches but he showed his class on wickets which provided assistance to spin bowling. Playing in India won’t be much different than playing at home for him and the Indian batsmen may be in for a surprise when the teenager comes into the attack on February 9 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
